The Top 10 Countries in the World for Low-Cost Travel in 2021!

Arr, loading...

Pirates, today we want to share with you a list of the top budget-friendly destinations in the world for 2021. While you may not be able to get to them right away, as there are many restrictions that are still being enforced around the world, you can check out the list below for inspiration later in the year (fingers crossed!)

The 10 countries listed below offer a daily budget of less than $30 per day, (sometimes much less), including three regular meals, a stay, and travel by land within the country — all the bare minimum a tourist needs.

The ranking is drawn up on the basis of our personal travel experiences and the destinations are arranged in random order; not from the cheapest up.

Surely there are countries where life costs even less than those listed, but we have chosen countries with a fair flow of tourists and therefore with good organization and hospitality.

Whether you are in a metropolis or in the middle of nowhere, India is still one of the cheapest countries to be found. Friends of ours from the Italian team were able to travel within India for two months and spent roughly $600 in total. A 745-mile train ride cost $3, the hotel, never more than $12 for a double, and the meals were so cheap and delicious, you will want to pay more than asked!

With amazing local cuisine at very low prices, affordable accommodations, and breathtaking scenery to enjoy throughout the entire country, every trip to Georgia is an unforgettable adventure. Located in Eastern Europe, Georgia is undoubtedly one of the most coveted emerging low-cost destinations in the world.

If you are not opting for an all-inclusive vacation, but rather for an on the road and backpacker, Egypt offers really low prices for simple accommodation, (excellent) street food, or in local restaurants and flights, buses, and trains within honest prices. The Nile, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor, and the Valley of the Kings, as well as the Pyramids of Giza, might all be missed if you confine yourself to a resort on the Red Sea!

Even though Bali can be noted as the most expensive of the country's destinations, the prices for accommodation and food are actually negligible, especially in areas of the country that are not too busy with tourism. In Bali, you can spend $2 per night, perhaps with breakfast included, if you are satisfied with a hostel stay.

Tanzania and the island of Zanzibar are very, very cheap but at the same time, they are used and equipped for tourism. Here, the only thing that will be expensive is a Safari, which the country offers in TOP locations on the continent, such as in the Mount Kilimanjaro area or at the Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks. Food and accommodations are very inexpensive. The largest banknote available, 10 thousand Shillings, is currently worth $4.31.

Istanbul may require a bit more for housing but upon leaving the big city, you will find housing prices drop quite a bit! The excellent bus network, even if a little old and slow, but cheap, will allow you to visit various mythical points of the country, starting from the beautiful capital.

One of the cheapest countries in Asia that offers a lot. Certainly much cheaper than neighboring Thailand and Vietnam, where western tourism has now developed more. Angkor Wat will remain in your heart and visiting it will cost you little, also thanks to the prices of the hotels in Siem Reap, where you can stay in a luxurious 4 or 5-star hotel with breakfast, even for only $15-$20 per night!

In Europe it's known, in order to find the lowest prices, you have to go east. Even in Kyiv sleeping is cheap if we compare it with other European capitals, and the rich food available in local restaurants is not expensive at all.

Cheap internal bus or plane travel, very cheap local food, and — Cartagena aside — inexpensive accommodations are found all over Colombia. The fruit is great and almost free for how cheap it is, and even a night out topped off with a few glasses of rum or local beer, will cost you next to nothing!

You don't speak any foreign languages but want to spend a nice low-cost holiday abroad? Albania will be for you! Also reachable by sea from the Adriatic cities of Italy, it offers dishes such as fish and shellfish, at unbelievable prices!

What was the cheapest country you visited? How much was your average daily expense? Let us know with your comments!
